Performance from Musicians in Xiongxian

The second part of the day in Xiongxian consisted of recording an ensemble with some very well respected musicians. This group are used to playing on larger stages around China and, now in higher demand due to the changes due to take place with this province. We thank the Dean Lu of Hebei University for arranging this, as we would not have been able to book them by ourselves.

The first piece was played inside, although it was a large room, the hard surfaces and the number of people made this a difficult space to arrange the equipment and capture the performances. Though we managed to record a couple of ensembles.

After the performances inside, we then proceeded to move the entire team of; musicians, GSM and our media journalist from Hebei outside. This made the sound of the performance more authentic and provided additional space for us all to work within. The performance with the Cha (symbols) was quite something as it was extremely well coordinated.
